Islamic Scholarship and Scholars in Zazzau Emirate

The book is to encourage people towards learning and Scholarship. Zazzau had enviable position as a great citadel of learning in central Sudan. The author discusses Islamic Scholarship and Schoalrs in Zazzau Emirate back from more than two and half centuries ago. The book discusses many ancient schools and their nature. The book concentrates on the methods of teaching, the books taught, the prominent disciples, the predecessors and their writings. The book hopes to raise awareness about the necessity of reviving Islamic knowledge and civilization, the cooperation and contribution individually or collectively in their respective schools. The book shows that Islamic Scholarship is a connected chain from the pioneer scholars to this present day, despite the fact that some schools in Zazzau were no longer in existence after the jihad of Sokoto Caliphate. The book discusses certain changes of religious, political, social and economic importance especially in the nineteenth century.
