Glorious Stanzas on the Holy Prophet (PBUH)

The Arabic word "Mawlid" means "place of birth" or "birthday." The birthday of the Prophet Muhammad is celebrated on the 12th day of the Islamic month of Rabi' al-Awwal. From the first day of this month until the 12th day, praises of the Prophet are recited in mosques and homes. These praises are known as Mawlid. The practice of reciting Mawlid exists in countries like Turkey, Egypt, India, and Arabia.The term "Mawlid" is used to denote the birthdays of the Prophet and revered figures. In addition to the Arab countries, Muslims living in other regions find these Mawlid celebrations helpful in staying true to religious principles. Nowadays, it is customary to hold Mawlid gatherings in Mecca, Medina, and private homes."Mawlid" includes recounting the honorable birth of the Prophet, his miracles, and his beautiful way of life. Muslims are encouraged to learn about the Prophet, follow his example, believe in his miracles, and emulate his actions. Mawlid serves this purpose. During the Prophet's birth month, Muslims increase their good deeds and express joy, focusing particularly on recounting the history of the Prophet's holy birth.
